I guess DiGi representative read this blog after all :-p . After their pre launch package thats been bombarded by harsh critics, DiGi finally back on track when they increase former limit from 10GB to 50GB. This give DiGi 3G a new breath to gain a spot in 3G mobile networks here in Malaysia.

DiGi 3G pre launch a total failure?

As some of you know, DiGi has made a pre launch promo at Ikano on 21st and 22nd Feb to test their new 3G network. To top off this launch they had made two promo packages which is:

and

digi3g_laptop_package.jpg

Too sad there is no data sim only package as this promo is only for noobs who didn’t have a laptop and a USB modem. From what I’ve heard there is only 60 people who grabs the laptop packages. Guess the promo package isn’t attractive at all huh DiGi?

With a 10GB limit, limited coverage, tied with a contract, and pricy plans I can say Digi really let me down on this. As EDGE user I’ve hope something more on this. Another thing is, they should consider to reduce current EDGE plan to RM33! :-p

We should give them some time and see what DiGi could offer us when they fully launch their 3G network. After all its still early to continue bashing. LOL :d

So called motto by DiGi, ‘Broadband Done Right’. Yeah rite. . .

Mobility Number Portability

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) — Pre-paid mobile phone users may change their mobile phone service providers, if they wish, and still keep their mobile phone numbers from tomorrow, Friday Aug 29.

For the time being, this service – Mobility Number Portability (MNP) – will be available in the Klang Valley on a limited basis, said Minister of Energy, Water and Communications, Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor in a statement.

He said in two weeks’ time, post-paid users will also be able to enjoy the service.

The nationwide launch of the service will be in October, he said.

He said MNP takes away the inconvenience associated with switching service providers and consumers will no longer need to wory about losing their contacts when changing service providers.

He said service providers are allowed to charge up to RM25 each time a subscriber changes his/her service provider.

This will give mobile users choice and freedom to choose their service providers without the inconvenience of having to change their numbers, he said.

Digi will roll out their 3G network soon, Celcom throttled

After gone through cumbersome dealing with local authority to acquire 3G spectrum with MCMC, Digi finally finished the transfer process of the 3G Spectrum from TIME dotcom Berhad (TdC) took place on the 7th of May 2008. This is good news for everyone. There will be a new player in town and it will compete with other mobile broadband provider. So Maxis, Celcom, Izzi and Umobile you better provide a good services up to par. So let’s hope for price war soon. :-p

But they are already a user in lowyat forum discovered Digi 3G connection in their dialer. Wow this is fast. :d

Currently Digi only providing an EDGE broadband and thats what makes me chose Celcom over Digi. But I’m not sure I’ll stay with Celcom any longer after having a very bad experienced with them this past 2 month. The thing is after Celcom Sales recently I’ve noticed that Celcom 3G network congested during peak hours. Line will be smooth 12pm onwards. We didn’t pay to use broadband for a certain time only for god sake. We will use it whenever we wanted too. In addition to that its really frustrating when the line would keep on disconnecting. GRRR. . .

Soon another problem arised. I’ve received a message from Celcom stated that I’ve sucking up their bandwidth way too much! Haha. Served them well. LOL
