New Islamic telco for Malaysian, Salamfone

New islamic telco named Salamfone. The debut doesn’t get much attention of mainstream media. It seems the rates and the call plans seems normal to me. Nothing new to brag about. I guess Salamfone need much more than this to acquired local youth subscribers.

So far there is only one postpaid broadband package. Price at RM38/month, with 1GB quota.

Should you want to read more of this telco, give em a visit. Salamfone.

This definitely a good news for UTM students. It seems this will be a contender for YES broadband. Also heard that YES broadband gonna release a postpaid package. This might be a good news after all. Will update you guys with more info later if I’ve got anything.

Any comment on U Mobile Broadband?

I’ve done quite a review on local broadband scene. Ranging from popular players, TM, Celcom, Maxis, Digi and P1 Wimax. Out of five player Wimax received alot of negative criticism from my side. It just because they just plain sucks. What a sucky broaband is, trying to cheat their customer with their latest promotion, 4G broadband.

But now lets focus on a rather under dog broadband provider here in Malaysia, it’s U Mobile. Their coverage is rather limited in Klang Valley and some part in Johore Bahru. Recently their launched a new package speed up to 42mbps. If everything goes out as they plan, U mobile will be the first Malaysian Telco who gonna provide a 42Mbps HSPA+ speed but it’s only available at one location, Berjaya Times Square. Ok you can laugh now. :-p

Actually their headquarters is in Berjaya Times Square. It suppose to be a preliminary launch. Right now they are in a midst of testing their equipments.

If anyone is interested to know more of this new package you can register your interest in their website here.
