Terms

After going through all the plans and terms, personally I would say it’s not worth it! The cost of the iPhone itself is not more than RM1000 figuratively. We have to pay a hefty price and stuck with contract just to get a taste of iPhone? I suggest you get it from local dealers that selling it at lelong or lowyat garage sales instead. There’s many seller selling the unlocked version already. The units has been brought in from Singapore. Price is around RM2500-2800 which is quite reasonable because it doesn’t tied to any contract .You can use it with your current telcos.

Mobility Number Portability

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) — Pre-paid mobile phone users may change their mobile phone service providers, if they wish, and still keep their mobile phone numbers from tomorrow, Friday Aug 29.

For the time being, this service – Mobility Number Portability (MNP) – will be available in the Klang Valley on a limited basis, said Minister of Energy, Water and Communications, Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor in a statement.

He said in two weeks’ time, post-paid users will also be able to enjoy the service.

The nationwide launch of the service will be in October, he said.

He said MNP takes away the inconvenience associated with switching service providers and consumers will no longer need to wory about losing their contacts when changing service providers.

He said service providers are allowed to charge up to RM25 each time a subscriber changes his/her service provider.

This will give mobile users choice and freedom to choose their service providers without the inconvenience of having to change their numbers, he said.
