Mobility Number Portability
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) — Pre-paid mobile phone users may change their mobile phone service providers, if they wish, and still keep their mobile phone numbers from tomorrow, Friday Aug 29.
For the time being, this service – Mobility Number Portability (MNP) – will be available in the Klang Valley on a limited basis, said Minister of Energy, Water and Communications, Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor in a statement.
He said in two weeks’ time, post-paid users will also be able to enjoy the service.
The nationwide launch of the service will be in October, he said.
He said MNP takes away the inconvenience associated with switching service providers and consumers will no longer need to wory about losing their contacts when changing service providers.
He said service providers are allowed to charge up to RM25 each time a subscriber changes his/her service provider.
This will give mobile users choice and freedom to choose their service providers without the inconvenience of having to change their numbers, he said.
The expansion of Digg: Personalized and more features

I’m one of the millions Digg user. It gives me daily updates of what is happening around us. Varies and lots of news. This is just a quick updates that I’ve read.
Kevin Rose has virtually said that Digg will extend their services with more entertaining upcoming sections. If you’ve been followed up Digg news recently, images section is the most requested by Digg user. Yes, they hear em. Instead, they will add restaurant and product reviews too. Hold there! Product reviews? I’d hope there is no paid reviews or such things. That is definitely will bring Digg down, eventhough there is rumors spread around; ‘The End of Digg’ etc :P
But I believed in Digg community, the reviews will come naturally and it’ll be a nice idea. Overall, in my opinion this is nice for new features. We’ll see how it goes and I’ll keep you guys updated.
P.S: For your guys information we do have Malaysian version of Digg. Wohooo :hehe:

Prices for ‘.com’ and ‘.net’ to rise
->
NEW YORK – The master-keeper of Internet addresses ending in “.com” and “.net” — two of the most popular domain name suffixes — said Thursday it would raise fees charged to register those names.
The annual levy for “.com” will increase 7 percent to $6.42, and the “.net” fee will go up 10 percent to $3.85. The per-name fees are what VeriSign Inc. collects from companies that sell domain names on its behalf, and such charges are generally incorporated in the prices companies, groups and individuals pay to register names.
