Top operating systems in China, Windows XP

Top 5 operating systems in China:

Windows XP, 82.2%
Windows 7, 13.8%
Windows Vista, 2.7%
Mac OS X, 0.5%
Windows 2003, 0.3%

We should point out that these numbers (from Statcounter) are based on Web usage, so they represent computers connected to the Internet, surfing the Web. Very relevant for this survey, in other words.

It’s quite a surprise that 4 out of 5 computers in China are still using Windows XP. While in the United States, Windows 7 already overcome the Windows XP throne recently as the top operating system being used.

Initiative is to allow direct and secure communication between the public and the Government

PUTRAJAYA: All Malaysians who are 18 years old and above will be assigned an email account each in order to receive statements, bills and notices from the Government.

The initiative would allow direct and secure communication between the public and the Government, said Tricubes Bhd chief executive officer Khairun Zainal Mokhtar.

Tricubes Bhd is the company developing the 1Malaysia Email project in collaboration with Microsoft.

Khairun said Tricubes Bhd would also spearhead the development of a web portal which would include social networking services, online bill checking and payments.

“Currently, the company is still running stress test for the portal.

“Hopefully, we can get it ready by July this year,” he told a press conference at the fifth progress update of the Economic Transformation Programme in here, Tuesday.

What do you think? Hope this won’t be another white elephant projects by the government. You guys know lah government and their portals. It’s either lack of professional touch or it’s not functional at all (j/k). But what’s up with the site counter on most of the gov portal? Man, that is so 90s.

Anyway its a relief to know that this project is using Microsoft mail. Probably they will be using live.mail.com. Towards modernize Malaysia! :-p

and someone always quoted that “Malaysia ke arah kuasa besar dunia”, and I strongly felt there is something wrong with that :d

Latest Japanese viruses named ‘Winny’ that you should aware of for Hentai lovers

advertisement.gif

The virus dubbed Kenzero will publish your internet history on a public website and then demand that you pay up a ransom in order to have it removed. Basically the virus is blackmailing you! Now that’s clever!

The virus is targeting those who are downloading illegal copies of explicit Hentai anime porn video games.

When you think you are installing the game, an installation screen appears that is really part of the virus in disguise and it asks you to enter personal information which is then grabbed by the virus.

Kenzero then nabs your browsing history, posts it online in your name, before sending you a request for 1500 yen to “settle your violation of copyright law” and take your potentially embarrassing history down.

Spread the news! Don’t destroy hentai industry! :d

Mobility Number Portability

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) — Pre-paid mobile phone users may change their mobile phone service providers, if they wish, and still keep their mobile phone numbers from tomorrow, Friday Aug 29.

For the time being, this service – Mobility Number Portability (MNP) – will be available in the Klang Valley on a limited basis, said Minister of Energy, Water and Communications, Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor in a statement.

He said in two weeks’ time, post-paid users will also be able to enjoy the service.

The nationwide launch of the service will be in October, he said.

He said MNP takes away the inconvenience associated with switching service providers and consumers will no longer need to wory about losing their contacts when changing service providers.

He said service providers are allowed to charge up to RM25 each time a subscriber changes his/her service provider.

This will give mobile users choice and freedom to choose their service providers without the inconvenience of having to change their numbers, he said.
