I just hate to use the synaptic package installer embedded in ubuntu system. That because internet connection here in Malaysia just sucks. I prefer to have a local copy of installer resides in my external hard drive. It’ easy for me if I feel I’d like to format my computer now and then, I don’t have to download all my software and drivers all over again.

Download VLC player offline installer for ubuntu. Nifty player that could play almost all codecs that you could throw at it. :D
