As a loyal K2 user, I’ll try all sort of thing trying to stick with this nice theme before having a thought trying to convert to a new theme. Unlike other user, they will find a new good theme for their blog when they facing dead end.
The situation occurs to me. I neither can’t edit or add my sidebar items on admin panel. I can’t do anything with it. The sidebar modules page is blank and freeze.

But one thing that relieve me, the items still appear on my blog. So I can have my own sweet time to solve it. I’m using built in K2 sidebar modules and it is one of the buggiest feature in K2 themes. When you try search ‘sidebar’ in K2 community forum, 80% of the result is related to this same problem.
There is one K2 user, blogan. He has faced this problem 3 times, from his past experienced he wrote a basic tutorial how to recover from it. You can check the post here.
I’ve tried all his method, eventually it didn’t work out. Dilemma continues.

Then it came across my mind. The built in sidebar modules in K2 has its own separate plugin. SBM, by Ben Sherratt. This is for non-K2 user who like to use this plugin. This plugin are more likely to sidebar widget plugin but with more detail options.
I’ve uploaded the plugin, activate it (it will automatically disable the old built in SBM) and my sidebar running as usual but the downside is I’ve to add all the modules back one by one again.
